Atlantis is not just where I live.Atlantis is my story.
I arrived in Atlantis as a baby in 1977 and grew up alongside this community. I attended Silverstream Crèche, Wesfleur Primary School and Atlantis Senior Secondary School. The people, schools, streets and institutions that shaped my life are the same ones that continue to shape our community today.
As we approach the 4 November Local Government Election, I am asking a simple question:

My connection to Atlantis is deeply personal.
I have lived through the growth, challenges and transformation of this community for almost my entire life.
My understanding of Atlantis does not come from reports or statistics.It comes from lived experience.It comes from raising a family here, serving on community structures, working alongside residents and seeing firsthand both the struggles and the incredible potential that exists in our community.
I believe where you live matters. The quality of your environment, the opportunities available to your family and the support available to your community matter.

Why Inclusion Matters To Me
As the mother of a daughter with Down syndrome, I understand how important accessibility, inclusion and equal participation are.
I believe a community is strongest when nobody is left behind. That includes children, young people, working families, senior citizens and persons living with disabilities.
This belief influences how I approach leadership, service and community development.
